The ‘Kaikaina’ sea glass ring is an open ring featuring a piece sea glass, and a faceted mooonstone or labradorite marquise gemstone.
Sea glass come in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes, making them so unique, and finding them all the more special!
Almost all pink/ rose colored sea glass likely originated from depression glass, which was manufactured in the early 20th century as an alternative to crystal. (Beachcombing Magazine, 2019).
Some pink sea glass may have started as pink, but instead clear glass that turned pink over. Manganese, a chemical used in the past to de-color glass, can sometimes turn clear glass pink after many years in direct sunlight.
*Note* Since each sea glass varies in size and shape, you will receive a ring similar to those pictured. The sea glass is roughly 1.5” - 1” in length.
Care Instructions: These are solid 10k gold, which maintains its luster and shine quite naturally. If needed, you may polish gently with a polishing cloth.
